An acronym for Commerce through Sports, SPORTSCOM is a non-profit apex industry body established to promote the business of manufacturers of sporting goods and service providers to the sports sector while making them globally competitive. Sportscom members comprise of businesses and professionals who provide goods and services to the sports industry.
SPORTSCOM is India’s leading and inclusive Sports Industry body for development and catalysation of the sector with a vision to make India globally competitive and help become a top five country within the global sports industry.
Sportscom aims for policy advocacy by raising the quality standards and cost competitiveness of the sports sector at the global level. Our intent is to build an inclusive platform for sports manufacturers, sports infrastructure developers, sports service providers, stakeholders and media representatives to work on research based issues and advocate for investments in sports through maximizing business participation. Sportscom also intends to build capacity of the different players in the sports ecosystem by building and nurturing a talent pool of sports persons and be a knowledge hub for sharing best practices and promote sports culture in India by advocating for mainstream fitness and sports initiatives in schools and institutions.
Jalaj Dani, a Co-Promoter of Asian Paints, boasts over two decades of leadership excellence within the organization. His strategic insights and innovative approach have significantly shaped the company’s trajectory. In addition to his pivotal role at Asian Paints, Jalaj serves as an Independent Director on the Board of Havells India Limited, contributing to the company’s strategic governance. He also leads as Chairman of Addverb Technologies, India’s premier robotics company, and EndureAir Systems, a cutting-edge drone technology enterprise.
Driven by a passion for sports, Jalaj is actively involved with Sportscom, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting the sports goods industry. His efforts are focused on fostering a vibrant sports culture and supporting the industry’s growth.
Jalaj chairs the Board of Governors at the Indian Institute of Management-Trichy (Tamil Nadu), guiding the institution towards academic excellence and innovation. His passion for education and skill development is further reflected in his co-founding of the Dani Foundation, which aims to build a self-sustaining society through transformative actions in education, healthcare, sports training, skill building, and cultural promotion.
Jalaj’s dedication to societal well-being is evident through his involvement with esteemed foundations such as the Reliance Foundation, HT Parekh Foundation, Piramal Foundation, and Pratham Education Foundation. His leadership extends beyond corporate boundaries, championing initiatives that foster community development and social upliftment.
He plays vital roles in steering committees and advisory capacities with organizations like DPIIT SCALE, Brand India Cell, and the ‘Fit India’ movement. His engagement with various government bodies, industry chambers, and organizations underscores his commitment to national development.
Vivek Singh is the Joint MD of Procam International. A graduate in economics from Bombay University, his business sense, eye for detail and hands on approach make him a respected leader of the sports industry. In existence since 1988, Procam International is a pioneer in the field of sports management. Procam has carved out a niche for itself as a company that does the impossible and does it well.
The Tata Mumbai Marathon (in the top 10 Marathons of the world), the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon, the Tata Consultancy Services World 10K Bangalore and the Tata Steel Kolkata 25K Run are some of the largest running events in the world today.
In addition to motivating thousands in India, to take on a healthier and fitter lifestyle, the Marathons have raised millions of Dollars for different charitable causes. They have underscored the fact that private commercial initiative and social interests are complementary.
In March 2017, Procam broke new ground with an unparalleled initiative – The NEXA P1 Powerboat Grand Prix of the Seas. Conducted in Mumbai at the Marine Drive bay – the event had the world’s best drivers and navigators racing P1 Panther boats inside a specially constructed racecourse on water. This heralded a new sporting paradigm in India and provided the world with a new racing format.

Vidushpat Singhania is a registered advocate at Delhi Bar Council. He is a member of the Election Oversight Panel of World Athletics (IAAF). He is associated with Sportscom from its inception and has played a significant role in its formation. As a member of the Managing Committee of Sportscom, he addresses issues pertaining to sports governance, player rights, anti-doping, and dispute resolution.
Vidushpat has been developing and advocating for the laws and policies that govern sports in India for the past 10 years. Along with being the co-author of the book, ‘Law and Sports in India’, he was involved in drafting the National Sports Development Bill, the Prevention of Sporting Fraud Bill and the Anti-Doping Bill 2018 for Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. He has also assisted Justice Mudgal Doping Probe Committee and the National Sports Development Code Committee. He was the designated secretary of the committee appointed by the Supreme Court to probe fixing in the Indian Premier League.
He has also served as a member of the committee established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development to consider the integration of sports within the higher education system. Besides that, he advises more than 6 sports leagues in India. He also represents sports players and federations in disputes pertaining to elections, selections, licensing, match manipulation and anti-doping. His work in the area of sports and governance is truly commendable.
Mr. Neeraj Jain, is a qualified Engineer and M.B.A with Masters in Polymer Science from London Met, U.K. He has vast experience of Business Management including area of new Product Development in the Sports industry.
He is a Whole Time Director of Cosco (India) Limited, since 1998, a Listed Company, one of the Top Manufacturer and Exporter of Inflatable balls and health leisure and lifestyle products.
Mr. Neeraj heads the marketing and commercial relationship management of the Company. He has a rich experience of more than 25 years in Sports and Rubber Industry.
He is a strong believer of the power of design and brands to create commercial value and social impact of COSCO brand at global level and is instrumental in making strategic decisions for the Company.
Besides this, Mr. Jain is an executive member of Sports Sector Skill Council (SPEFL-SC).
Mr. Nilesh Kulkarni is former Indian Cricketer & founder Director-
International Institute of Sports & Management. He has been awarded Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puruskar Awardee by Govt of India. He is active member of many different sports organisations and holds position in National Sports Education Board Committee, Delhi , International Sports University, Maharashtra, CII`s
SPORTSCOM Industry Confederation etc.
Monalisa Barua Mehta is a Table Tennis champion from Assam. She is the Director of ELMS Sports Foundation. She also is the Dy. General Manager of Oil India Limited.
She has been awarded the “ARJUNA AWARD” for Table Tennis in 1987. She has also been the Indian National Champion. She has won 1Gold & 3 Bronze Medals at SAF Games 1990 and Bronze Medal at Commonwealth Championships in 2008. She has also been coach of the Indian National team on several occasions.
Her contribution for the upliftment of Sportscom and its vision is truly commendable.
An Engineer by profession, working extensively in the field of Sports and Nutrition for last 10 years, along with his Wife – Asmita Choudhari a Nutritionist by Profession. He has been on the advisory board as well as one of the speaker/panelist
at following Sports Science Conferences during 2015 and 2021.
A seasoned professional with more than three decades of experience with the Indian Navy, Consulting and Sports Authority of India. The best part of last decade was spent in building the human resource capabilities of the Navy, as well as strategizing and helming Indian Olympic program. A strong believer in ‘people’s management at the core of competitive advantage for any organization’, I feel ‘continuous learning and research’ will leverage the organizational capabilities.
Mr. Rakesh Kohli born on 21st November 1958 in a family where business of sports equipment was being carried on since 1922. He obtained his Master of Management Studies (MMS) from the Faculty of Management Studies, Banaras Hindu University in 1982. He joined his family business of sports equipment named Stag International. Under his effervescent leadership STAG became the most reputed brand in sport goods throughout the world as it reached 206 countries worldwide.
Mukul Verma, Director, Savi International and Savi Fortunes Pvt Ltd is a name to reckon within sports goods and sportswear manufacturing at Jalandhar, Panjab. Born on 06 May 1980 at Jalandhar to an Industrialist father and an Educationist mother, Mukul did his Bachelors in Business Administration from APJ college, Jalandhar and later did his Post Graduation in Management
from Cardiff University, UK.
Rajesh Kharabanda heads the Iconic home grown Indian Sports brand NIVIA, which has been leading the Indian sports goods
industry since 1960’s. Associated with the sports of Football, Basketball, Handball and volleyball as the official ball for all the National and International sports events held in India for last 6
